Shaun
Training with WuTan since November 1998.
Based in Fareham, my first instructors were Stewart Beckett and Joanne Kitchener (Chi Kung, Tai Chi and Tai Chi Sword) and Lawrence Chapman (Kung Fu).
Training at the headquarters in Southampton I devoted much of my time to San Da (full contact Kung Fu), training for several years, under my instructor Mike Tanner. He not only trained me hard physically but also provided me with the theoretical knowledge that later would help me when I began my role as a national (BCCMA), European (EWUF) and an Internationally (IWUF) qualified judge and referee. I continued to practice Tai Chi, Ba Gua and Hsing I during this period to ensure balance in my training as well as various seminars with Master They and his teacher, Master Wu.
I currently maintain my own practice under the guidance of Master They and senior instructor Matt Young practicing various Tai Chi styles, Ba Ji Chuan, Hsing I Chuan, Ba Gua Chuan.
“Having found so many benefits to practicing Tai Chi I really hope that I can support others to discover these benefits too”
Ray
Training with WuTan since 2005.
Ray began his practice with Master They in Southampton before transferring to Shaun’s class in Fareham where he has been a diligent student.
This consistent practice gave Ray so many benefits in his life and once this was realised he decided the next logical step was to help others. He began supporting with classes and has been attending instructor training sessions for several years now.
Ray continues his journey with Shaun on a weekly basis.
